This one of three elephants originates from Tra Kieu in Vietnam, where it was found in the Quang Nam province. Identified as stone carvings in the Tra Kieu style, they are believed to have been created in the 10th Century AD. Each elephant would likely have adorned buildings or houses and were widely used motifs in art of that time and location. This object is part of the "Scan The World" project, a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory. Scan The World aims to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost. Scan The World is an open source, community-driven effort, where anyone with interesting items can contribute by emailing stw@myminifactory.com to learn how to get involved.
