Elephant at The Guimet Museum, Paris
myminifactory
These three elephants originate from Tra Kieu in Vietnam and were found in the Quang Nam province. They are believed to have been carved out of stone in the Tra Kieu style around the 10th Century AD. Each elephant was likely used to decorate buildings or houses, and they were widely featured as motifs in the art of that time and place. This object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. The goal of Scan the World is to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe, available for free access to the public. This project is an open-source community effort, and anyone with interesting items to contribute can email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how they can help.
