Elephant and Sloth
thingiverse
Two pals hanging out. To make it, I combined lordkylo's Elephant and blinkiet's sloth in Meshmixer. I repaired the end of the trunk in the elephant which had some issues. The sloth wasn't quite positioned properly to be grasping an object the size of the elephant's trunk. The sloth's claws were also too thin to print with good resolution at the scale I wanted. Rather then trying to repose the sloth's arms, I designed some thicker claws in SolidWorks. By custom configuring the placement and angle of the claws, I was able to make the sloth's appearance of grasping the trunk believable enough for my purposes. Attached are the .stl file of the model and the .sldprt file for the claws (in case anyone wants it for some reason). If you use PrusaSlicer, the .3mf file can be loaded as a project containing my custom defined supports for printing. A slightly higher resolution .stl can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XQwye-q9MzusKPCtOiX1pU6V18YufPtA/view?usp=sharing (it's a little over the Thingiverse file size limit)
