Here are some modifications that you can make: First, design a unique one-handed spool holder. This device accommodates Spools with ø44 mm I.D.s, positioning the wheels on the inside of the spool. The elephant ears provide a smooth edge for the spool to rest against and securely click into place. An adjustment is included to fit wider spools. On my Prusa i3 (M4 x 20 pan heads) acrylic frame, I attached the dove tail mount by drilling and screwing it in place. Another project to create another mount. I chose wooden skewers from the dollar store for the axles of the wheels on one side, but used a piece of a coat hanger that was trimmed with Pliers on the other side. As an alternative, 2 round toothpicks can be used if secured properly Assembly Instructions: To get ready for use: Clean and sand the spool holder to make room for a dovetail fit into mount. Ensure that axles have smooth passage through wheels. Adjust as needed for your printer. Using Skewers: trim the skews or 2.7 mm wire of a coat hanger and install.
