For those who like a decorative box, this box will stand out! Many have created heart boxes, however none of them are like Eleni’s Heart of Glass/Stone. In addition to the beauty of this box, it be used to signify many emotions. This box can be used to convey a broken or fragile heart. This box can express sadness or used to illustrate ones feelings to another. This box can serve as a reminder of a difficult time in ones life. No writing was put on this box to keep the emphasis on the box and it contents. You can print this on any 3d printer and obtain a different effect on a glass or metal bed. This box will look good printed on any print bed. If you can print it on a glass bed, it will make the top and the bottom of the box look like glass! This is how we came up with the idea Heart of Glass! One or more of our photos were printed on a glass bed. Keep in mind that the bigger the box, the thicker and stronger it will be. All of our box designs are test printed to make sure the cover fits correctly on the box. The following size(s) have been tested: normal size (11 cm wide approx.) 75% of normal size (9 cm wide approx.) scaled down in the slicer The following files are included: heart of glass box – top.stl heart of glass box - bottom.stl Materials used to create model in photos: Veeology Silk Multi-Color PLA (printed on glass) Eryone Silk Silver PLA TTY Silk Coffee Gold PLA Overture Matte Light Brown Ideas: This box can be scaled proportionally on all axes in respect to our test prints above. It is best to scale the x, y and z axes the same to not distort the box. Do not print this box too small or the pieces of the box many not be well connected. At 75% of the normal size is the smallest we could print the box with all the pieces of the heart box intact. If in fact you have a disjoint piece you can always use some clear silicon on that spot. Any filament can be used and the box will look good. To add emphasis to the box you might wish to choose a shiny silk, multi-colored PLA filament.
