In our fourth report, Elemental Design Team conducted Failure Diagnostics and thickness analysis on a part, declaring it safe. ANSYS WORKBENCH 14.5 was used for loading tests while SOLIDWORKS 2013 was used for modeling. The bracket weighed 2.07 pounds, replacing the original 4.61-pound one with a 55.09% mass reduction. We maintained a 0.08" tetrahedron mesh element size throughout analysis, and all tests showed Factor of Safety greater than 1 in minimal areas.
