Elegoo Neptune 4 Max Blower Fan Mount Cable Guide

After deciding that the original cable clip that came with my Neptune 4 Max was designed by a sadist, I decided to create my own. This one is designed to hold the cable flat and out to where it doesn't rub on anything and also keeps it from block the fan inlets. It has two pieces, one of which mounts in the original spot for the cable guide and the other, larger, piece mounts to the back of the blower fan. It has cable channels for both the larger cable and the small cable that powers the blower fan. This also has the benefit of holding the cable off the bed to where it won't hit anything while printing. There should be enough slack in the cable to allow a full range of travel once everything is together. By having a shorter length of cable moving around, this should also help with vibrations on the X axis (though you may want to re-run your input shaping for X after doing this). The cable channels are designed to be slightly flexible to allow you to slide the cables into them. As the fan cable should remain essentially stationary, it is only held in place by the slight lip on the channel on the fan mount (it is held in place by gravity on the z axis mount). The main hot end cable channels have slots at the edges to where you can put cable ties through them to snug everything up. For mounting to the blower fan, the two original screws should be of adequate length to work without issue. Additionally, the single M4x8mm screw that came with the original cable clip should also work and should be enough to hold the assembly in place, though I also added a second M4 screw to mine just to hold it down a bit tighter. You will need to remove the short M4 screw and washer that are mounted to the bottom of the Z gantry plate in the front hole (assuming there is one on your printer). This screw is too short to be useful for much of anything. Both pieces should be printed vertically so that they do not need any supports. Printing in this orientation also aligns the part strain along the direction of the filament flow and not along the Z-seam axis (i.e. it makes it where it can flex without snapping apart). I recommend using about 4 walls and around 50% infill to give them the necessary strength. I also recommend printing this in PETG or similar, as it is slightly flexible and also doesn't have as many creep issues when under continuous load. While PLA should work for this, it may not be flexible enough to allow sliding the cables in and out easily without cracking and may tend to sag a bit over time.
