3d printer resins often perform better at higher than room temperature. These parts will enable you to add an automatic heater to your Elegoo Mars Pro. It heats the build chamber and not the resin directly, so in cold conditions you will want to pre-heat the printer some time before using it.

The Elegoo Mars Pro is obsolete and out of production (though we still use a number of them). If there is enough interest I'm happy to create new files for newer printers, but someone will have to send me the dimensions for the spacer.

Note: This design is seriously back heavy with the heater and control board mounted. It will lean back when the red cover is removed but will not flip loose. When the red cover is on it sits properly.

The parts:

I do not remember what material we printed these from. Most likely PLA. I don't remember the specs but I'd go with 2 perimeters and 20% grid infill.

Part 1: This spacer fits between the printer frame and the red plastic cover. There is a hole in the back to accept the heater mount flange. There is a small structure to hold the NTC probe for the temperature controller as well. The temperature probe is pushed though the back to rest on the scaffold and zip tied in place.

Part 2: The heater mount is designed to accept a 12/24V heater and a W1209 temperature controller board. There is no good orientation to print this part so matter what you'll have to use support. We printed these with the surface that mates to the heater down and had good results (use support). The screws that attach the control board are just screwed into the plastic mount and will self tap.

Part 3: The spacers are to keep the back of the control board from being mashed into the mount. We had planned on going back and adding built-in spacers to the design but never got around to it.

Bill of Materials (includes affiliate links):

1x Spacer (3d printed)

1x Heater Mount (3d printed)

4x 4mm M3 Spacers (3d printed)

1x Heater. The heater we use is this one: 12/24V Heater (about $23). You can get a similar one cheaper on AliExpress if you're willing to wait. (I'll try to find a link to post later.)

1x Control Board. The W1209 control board that we use is this one: Heater Control Board (about $18 for 6). Again, I'm sure these are cheaper on AliExpress and I'm sure you can find fewer for more per part on Az as well.

1x Wire tie to hold temperature probe

10x M3x8mm cap head screw (Longer will work too.) * **

6x M3 hex nuts **

Additional cable ties to do some cable management can't hurt.

* The control board mount is designed for M3 screws to drive straight into the plastic without nuts. If you want to substitute the M3 screws for whatever comes packaged with the control board have at it. We won't judge.

** We purchase most of our fasteners from Bolt Depot (in the USA, non affiliate) because we buy a lot and they're well priced. If you just need a small amount look for something like this M3 cap head screw assortment. It's way more expensive per part but we've gotten these kinds of assortments when we need something we don't normally stock and need it right now.
