ELEGOO MARS HEATER
thingiverse
As *winter is coming*, our resin printers need some warmth. Here is my design for an inexpensive heater, intended to be used with the Elegoo Mars and similar machines. The model is itself intented to be printed with a 3D FDM printer but it might be possible to print it with SLA technology. ABS or PETG would be the material of choice, but I have seen no issues with mine in PLA. A 0.2mm print height is recommended, as it helps with the post-processing of the parts. Some helping parts are easily removable and they ease the print and strengthen the supports. For an optimal installation, you will need to drill the acrylic cover using a metal drill bit and support the cover from the back with a piece of wood. The back cover of the heater is held in place with double-sided tape, and it is equipped with 4 magnets that mate well with the main heater. This allows for an easy removal of the heating kit. Regarding the thermostat configuration and wiring, here is a link that explains all the details, and I’ve actually used this design as an inspiration for my own creation : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3442165 **WARNING**: This design is made to work with a fan in PULL mode instead of PUSH mode, which prevents applying heat directly on the acrylic cover. -The probe must not exceed three or four millimeters, so as not to prevent the rail z and the rise and descent from the bed. **I DECLINE ANY KIND OF RESPONSIBILITY** regarding the use or build of this design. Whatever you do, please do your best not to burn your house down.
