Elegoo Mars 3 RPI Zero 2 W Board
thingiverse
I have recently been making a series of mods to my Elegoo Mars 3 printer. I wanted to add a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 w to the Mars 3 to use the Mariner project, but spent so long trying to get it working I gave up and came up with something else. Using this board you can mount the Pi Zero 2 w into the back panel of the Mars 3 to handle USB over wifi. Removing the back cover and installing this plate allows you to add a Pi Zero 2 W and buck convertor to power it. You can then set up the Pi in USB OTG mode and connect it to the Mars 3's USB socket inside the case. You can set up a network share in windows and drag your files to the Mars 3 without having to use the USB stick. You just need to use 8 nylon 15mm M2.5mm standoffs to mount the Pi and the buck convertor and wire it all up to the Mars 3. I just got these from Amazon: LM2596S DC-DC buck convertor modules Litorange 320PCS M2.5 Male Female Nylon Hex Spacer Standoff Screw kit Other than that I just spliced in a micro USB to power the Pi from the buck convertor and used an old 90 degree micro USB to USB to plug into the Mars 3. Setup is a little complex, but I hope to document this somewhere so others can do the same.
