Eledone cirrhosa Beak - more actual colors
sketchfab
The beak of the octopus Eledone cirrhosa is situated directly in the middle of its arms, just below the head within the buccal mass. The beak itself is a slender structure made entirely of very thin chitin and measures only about two centimeters across. This model remains under development, with further refinements necessary to perfect the details and coloration. Update: A scientific paper detailing the buccal musculature of Octopus bimaculoides has been discovered. Given that the beaks of Eledone cirrhosa and Octopus bimaculoides are nearly identical, it is now possible to extrapolate the buccal musculature of Eledone cirrhosa from this information. This will serve as the basis for the next iteration of this model.
