Eledone cirrhosa Beak
sketchfab
The beak of Eledone cirrhosa is situated in the buccal mass at the exact center of its arms, positioned directly beneath its head. Crafted from extremely thin chitin, this beak measures approximately two centimeters wide. This model remains a work in progress, requiring further refinement to accurately depict details and coloration. Update: I've discovered a scientific paper detailing the buccal musculature of Octopus bimaculoides. Given that the beaks of these two species exhibit near identical characteristics, I can now extrapolate the buccal musculature of Eledone cirrhosa from this information. This will serve as the basis for my next iteration of this model. A version showcasing the muscles with varying colors is available here: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/eledone-cirrhosa-beak-0b4e7a1c5f6dc37db8c5df67e3cf1cde
