<p>Add a fan to your Sunlu Filament Dryer so the moist air can escape. Does it work to improve the filament drying process? We'll see. I just installed it today.</p><p>Things you'll need:</p><ul><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q1X7R1P">Buck Converter</a></li><li>40mm box fan (any voltage that works with buck converter)</li><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071LQFQ17">Barrel jack male/female plugs</a></li></ul><p>Instructions:</p><ol><li>Trace and cut out the fan port on the flat part of the back of the dryer. I used a marker and a <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M9ZKK9T">hot knife</a> attachment to melt/cut the plastic. I <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZRMWBN">drilled</a> and <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F2Q3BYL">tapped</a> M3 screw holes for mounting the fan.</li><li>Solder one male and one female barrel jacks to the input side of the buck converter.</li><li>Solder the fan to the output side of the buck converter.</li><li>Test that everything works.</li><li>Plug in the 24v dryer power adapter to the buck converter and set the output voltage to allow a very low fan speed (or any preferred speed). Output voltage pot is accessible when case is closed for future adjustments.</li><li>Place finished buck converter in the case, taking care to route wires through portal.</li><li>Zip tie, glue, or otherwise secure lid of case.</li><li>Mount fan to filament dryer.</li><li>You may need to use a sharp knife to reduce the size of the barrel plug that interfaces with the dryer.</li><li>Plug everything in and let me know how it works.</li></ol><p> </p>
