Electronics Base remix plus wiring jig
thingiverse
I modified baf6's watch winder base remix to enable the mounting of an ATtiny85 Digispark at the rear of the base. Next, I added a mounting position for the ULN2003 driver board. With the mount in place, I created a matching jig to facilitate wiring and fettling of the boards and motor without making a mess in my home. Initially, I went over the underside of the ULN2003, trimming all protruding pins and removing breakout pins. A 10uf capacitor was mounted directly to the Digispark 5v output, and then the same outputs were wired to the ULN2003 power pins. Stepper motor wires were shortened for a neater package. If you soldered your boards together before programming the Digispark like I did, remove the IC from the driver board as all inputs feed directly into the driver chip before uploading code. The stepper motor is mounted to posts with 3mmx8mm self-tapping screws. Boards are glued in place after final fit. Here's a pinout for the boards: 5v to + GND to - P1 to IN1 P2 to IN2 P3 to IN3 P4 to IN4
