Electronic building system Update1
thingiverse
This is NOT continued. You will find a much better version here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1899461 With better fitting -and first of all- a much better solution for connecting. My version of an almost limitless electronic building system. -----------Attention!--------------- I think I found a very simple way to connect the blocks without soldering or clamping! I ordered some cheap materials and I will try them out as soon as they arrive next week. If it works, I will make a remix of the building system. If you want to print the system, I suggest waiting for the results of testing. ------>> Last update: Nov. 12, 2016 11:45 AM Update1: Nov. 12, 2016 11:45 AM: There is a Variable for the radius of the contact-hole. Depending on your needs and the resolution of your printer, the minimum value is 1mm Perhaps you will need to use your Dremel after printing to refine the holes. Easy to print, even my poor printer does the job. For the moment, the following bases are ready to print: //Transistor(0,0,0,""); //Widerstand(0,0,0,""); //Elko(0,0,0,""); //Verbindung(0,0,0,""); //LED(0,0,0,""); //Schraubloch(0,0,0,0); //Leer(0,0,0,""); //Schalter(0,0,0,""); //BlockBat(0,0,0,""); //Diode(0,0,0,""); Excuse my poor English, please - I'm a German. Print Settings Printer: K8200 Velleman Kit Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: After doing a little bit of refining with a sharp knife, it fits perfectly and strongly. In PLA you can click the parts even horizontally together. Post-Printing After doing a little bit of refining with a sharp knife, it fits perfectly and strongly. In PLA you can click the parts even horizontally together without breaking a part. Little difficult to make photos from black parts, but you can see that even my poor printer does the job. Overview and Background electronic building system created for testing and education Lesson Plan and Activity electronic building system creating and understanding electronic circuits. Materials Needed How to connect the blocks As you can see, there are very fine holes in those places where a contact has to be on each block. It's up to you which materials to use. I prefer thumbtacks. At first I cover its head with a little solder. The melting of the solder takes away a lot of the heat when you solder the wires to it later. Then I melt the thumbtack to its place with the hot soldering iron. Thumbtacks give a solid soldering connection and they are fairly cheap. All circuits should be built with secure voltages. There is a part that you can print to put a 9V-Battery in. If you need higher Voltages, print two of them and put the Battery in series for 18 Volts. NEVER use the mains output for a circuit! Don't leave children alone with the building system playing. I'm not responsible for any damages or accidents.
