Electronic board cover for A8 Printer
thingiverse
This is the cover for my A8 Printer board. The wiring and exposed board make it look unprofessional, so I designed a custom cover to improve its appearance. To install this cover without disassembling the entire printer, I made sure it can be slid in from the top by unscrewing the top screws and nuts only. The rear bottom part of the 1mm thick screw support is relatively weak and can break under moderate stress, so installation requires some care. Its thin design was necessary due to the limited space available for thicker supports. The back support also has a tendency to bend from electronics' leads, but it's flexible enough to withstand some degree of bending. I added holes at the top for air ventilation. While the large front holes might be an issue, they're essential for airflow. If you use Solidworks, feel free to edit this design to suit your needs. I incorporated a dragon boss extrusion to add some visual interest, as I'm a fan of dragons and thought it would look cool in black. Printer Settings Printer: A8 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes
