Electromagnetic Screwdriver Handle
thingiverse
Are you fed up with constantly dropping screws while you work? Are you sick of the screw refusing to come loose from your magnetized screwdriver? Well, worry no more! Introducing the 3D printable Electromagnetic Screwdriver handle. To make this product work for you, you'll need: 4 x small screws 1 x 9V battery 1 x 9V battery connector 1 x momentary button switch 1 x spool of wire 1 x 2-part epoxy 1 x hand-held screw driver with a long steel shaft Assembly for this requires some effort and basic electronics knowledge. Step 1: Cut the handle off of a screwdriver that has a steel shaft. Step 2: Strip the ends from copper wire and carefully wrap it around the shaft of the screwdriver near the end you cut. Step 3: Solder one end of the wire to the momentary switch and the other to one lead for the 9V battery connector. Step 4: Solder the other lead from the battery to the switch. Step 5: Insert screw driver and switch from back side of handle and glue switch into place. Step 6: Glue screwdriver into place and use a key in a keyway if desired. Step 7: Fill in the handle around the wire winding with epoxy for protection and stability. Step 8: Attach battery to connector and insert into handle. Step 9: Screw on handle back plate and test screwdriver. If you try this and experience any problems, please reach out and let me know what happened?
