Electrolux® Gas Hob Knob

<p>Our gas hob's knobs were getting quite worn out and their silver paint was starting to peel off due to extensive cleaning to get rid of stuck on grease. I decided to improve the look of our gas hob by creating replacement knobs for them.</p><p>The design objectives were:</p><p>a. Sturdy and robust design<br>b. Smooth and rounded edges over the top and sides for ease of cleaning by wiping<br>c. Support-free print<br>d. Includes an indicator feature so that the fire intensity setting can be seen easily</p><p>I'm happy to say that I successfully met this objectives with a model printed using PETG (for better temperature resistance) and we're happily using this at home now.<br><br>It may not be immediately obvious from the photos but the inner cylinder starts quite a bit above the lowest point of the outer shell (when oriented right side up) just like the knob that originally came with the hob so the model has to be printed upside down so that it can be printed without support.</p>
