I assembled this exactly according to the STL file specifications, printing it without any supports in place. A bit of filing was required where some sagging of the filament occurred, but overall it turned out well enough as is. Additionally, I also printed a separate test piece consisting only of the connecting section by placing that end flat on the print bed, and the fit was spot on perfect.
