Electro-Acoustic Banjitar
thingiverse
The 3-string uke banjitar boasts impressive playability if its bridge is correctly positioned; however, it may not produce high volumes. It features a design that facilitates the easy addition of a piezo pickup and a 1/4 inch jack for amplification or sound processing. To assemble, remove pads from the neck, angle it away slightly from the front, and attach to the body. The head is epoxied onto the neck's other end. An extended bridge superglues to the front plate for intonation adjustment and snaps into the body with string tension holding it in place. A 1/4" jack hole is provided for amplification, and a piezo element can be glued to the backside of the front plate under the bridge. Experiment with different strings like D, G, and B steel guitar strings from a set of electric guitar 10's or alternative materials for optimal sound.
