I used Inkscape and OpenSCAD to transform 2D images into a 3D model for this design. The image files I employed can be found at https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/b0/95/e1/b095e11aa7fab8f954896fc928c30f17.jpg, http://www.clker.com/cliparts/l/k/z/p/c/s/celtic-knot-hi.png, and http://vector-magz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/celtic-borders2-197x300.jpg. I then combined these models with a basic plate model created in FreeCAD. To prepare the model for 3D printing, I used Cura to slice it and printed it on an Athena Delta printer.
