On electrical panels, locks rely on a cross key to grant access. The Rittal panel lock employs a robust cast lock barrel with consistent break points. However, this design poses a significant drawback: the barrel serves as the entire locking mechanism's foundation, rendering it irreparable if compromised. When a custom lock barrel is printed using Tinkercad and an M4 bolt is threaded through its length to secure it in place, a robust and reliable locking solution is achieved.
