Electrical Box Extension
thingiverse
I built this extension to give my plug-in box more breathing room, literally. When they wrapped my shop in stucco, I had to move the receptacle about an inch and a half from the wall. This handy gadget fits perfectly into the existing outlet, and then you secure your plug in place with long screws, effectively locking everything together. To prevent moisture buildup, I applied some glue along the seam as well. So far, it's worked like a charm. To assemble, simply slide this unit snugly into the outlet, and screw your plug in firmly, sandwiching all parts tightly together using extra-long screws. For added insurance against water seepage, a small bead of glue was applied to the seam between the pieces.
