Electric Skateboard with Scooter Motor
prusaprinters

I had a broken electric scooter similar to this one. Recently I changed to a different company, and my co-workers gave me a skateboard as a farewell present with the instructions to convert it to an electric skateboard.

I've transplanted motor and controller from the scooter to the board. I designed motor mounts and a box for the electronics. I've used the parametric pulley model to create the pulley which is glued to the back wheel using super glue.

EDIT:
I recently switched to a 6S Li-Po battery pack and designed a proper casing for the batteries. The original motor controller burned up, so I'm using one for an electric bike now. Furthermore I printed the motor parts in PETG which seems to hold up much better than PLA, which I used initially.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK2S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Infill:

20 %

Notes:

The electronics box needs support for the mounting holes to the deck

How I Designed This

Designed using FreeCAD 0.16 on MacOS

Category: Sport & Outdoors
