Update 2017-08-24: New slightly stronger design including protective cover for belt pulley. Protective cover should be installed using M3 25mm screws and M3 nuts. _______________________________________________________ Remixed version of SolidGeek's design, adapted to fit 50mm motors. Original design used 15T and 40T pulleys with 295mm belt. This remixed version uses 12T and 40T pulleys with a 270mm belt. Testing is pending, so minor adjustments for optimal belt tension may be necessary. Truck locking ring remains identical to the original design. SolidGeek's description: This custom motor mount was created for my electric longboard. I recommend printing it in ABS or PLA with carbon fiber (15-20%). The mount consists of a mounting plate, a locking ring, and a shield. A version without shield is also available. The mounting plate requires spacers between the motor bolts and the plastic mount. Aluminum spacers were used on my CNC machine, but standard washers would suffice. My setup uses a wheel pulley with 40T and a motor pulley with 15T - and a 295mm HTD-5M belt is used.
