Electric Motor 18650 (Remix)
thingiverse
All credit goes to Mattosx1984 for the original design of this project. I was inspired by Enif's customizable Flexing Battery Holders with Integrated Spring, so I decided to combine the two ideas. It's worth noting that a 18650 cell produces more current than an AA battery, which is why it's essential to ensure the coil doesn't short circuit. However, as long as the motor is running smoothly, I haven't encountered any issues. It would be interesting to add a potentiometer to control the current output. The photos may appear a bit rough, as they were taken with my Octoprint webcam. I'll make sure to replace them soon. On April 1st, 2019, I updated the pictures, and in the third image, you might notice a slight twist – it was just an illusion caused by the spinning motion when I took the picture. The coil file is included separately, as I forgot to keep it with the frame design like Mattosx1984 did. This way, users can easily access and use it for their projects. On April 4th, 2019, I added a new model that accommodates an AA battery using Enif's flexing holder. While I haven't tested it yet, it should work seamlessly.
