This is an older version, check out https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2457930 for updates on the motor mount and case, still in progress but should be done soon with explanations, instructions, and results of actual longboard testing. This remix takes Matt Carl's electric longboard motor mount design and adapts it to fit on trucks that I could find a CAD file online. The original design didn't work for me, so I bought new trucks. The design may seem simple because I used part of the original design and finished it in Microsoft 3D builder; simplicity can be good. It's designed to fit Caliber 50° Trucks, but should also work on other Caliber trucks. I'm using an OM-6085 200kv motor from ollinboardcompany.com. High-strength aluminum shafts and shaft collars from vexrobotics.com are used for mounting the motor. Note: A minor bug exists; holes for shafts have a thin layer that shouldn't be there. I doubt it would cause any issues in real life as it's easy to poke through. I haven't had time to print or test this yet, but will update soon. I also foresee an upcoming update with the motor holder rotated downward slightly for more clearance; trucks should be the main limiting factor. UPDATE: I just received my Caliber trucks and 3D printed parts fit well. The problem isn't the part itself, it's a wheel pulley from Amazon that doesn't fit on these trucks (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y1RZW7T/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). As a result, I'm no longer working on a mount for Caliber trucks. My new trucks are from The Fury by whitewavelongboards and I don't know their name yet. OT parts have the motor holder rotated lower so it's beneath the truck; I'll make a new thing once tested. I aim to have a working electric longboard in the next month, then post my whole board as a thing with a tutorial.
