I'm glad to present these four new cases to hold electric longboard components, specifically for a VESCs (Vedder's ESC) and four zippy lipos. To minimize stress on the enclosures, each must be as compact as possible, allowing the board to flex freely. Following Boosted board design, I routed the wires under the grip tape. I based my work on the 4th iteration of a series that showcases innovative electric longboard component cases. The primary goal is to house two VESCs and four zippy lipos in separate compartments, taking into consideration the board's remarkable flexibility. By shortening each enclosure as much as possible, we can avoid any strain on them due to this flexing nature. Using a Boosted board design, I managed the wiring under the grip tape effectively, making sure it wouldn't hinder the component cases' placement. This setup allows for optimal component protection while ensuring that no damage occurs during flexing. I employed advanced technology from renowned companies to create these cases. To minimize support material and make printing smoother, the VESC case can be oriented upside down on most 3D printers, including LulzBot Mini models, when printing on a standard-sized 6x6x6" build area. When preparing for assembly or repairs, ensure proper sealing of the component cases by applying wood screws along with a weatherstripping solution. For safe and efficient charging, use an externally exposed balance connector that can be easily accessed and utilized during these procedures. Transparency plays a vital role in showcasing what's inside. In our case, it helps reveal complex VESC settings that might otherwise remain hidden. With every part fitting together like pieces of a puzzle, I made sure to design the cases in such a way that when two halves are joined together, their curved surfaces perfectly match the shape of an electric longboard, resulting in seamless integration and excellent functionality.
