Electric Longboard
thingiverse
This project was inspired by the firefly remote https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2454391.\r\nBecause we had no VESC but only ESC for RC/cars we had to change\r\nthe project a little. I printed mostly in black PETG but also PLA or ABS is possible.\r\nWe made a fully 3D-printed case for the ESC's, batteries and electronics.\r\nIt's made in smaller components so it can be printed on a regular size 3D-printer.\r\nThere are holes and pins for sliding the parts together.\r\nThe case is based on the boosted board.\r\nI added a battery cover with hinge (you can use bike wire for axle).\r\n\r\nI added a speedometer on a wheel with a hall-sensor and magnet in the wheel.\r\nThere is a holder within the files to mount the hall-sensor.\r\n\r\nChanges made to the firefly remote:\r\n1 - The trigger was too big because I switched the place of the Arduino and the nRF24 transmitter.\r\n2 - The controller plate for Arduino and nRF24 is changed to clip the Arduino and transmitter,\r\n so you can better load software on the Arduino USB port.\r\n\r\nParts list:\r\n- Firefly remote (Arduino driven), standard RC remote will also work\r\n- Receiver electronics, see added scheme\r\n- Hall sensor (binary) to measure speed and distance and magnet in wheel\r\n- Magnet (round) for the hall sensor in a wheel (see picture)\r\n- ESC Hobbyking TRACK STAR TORO SC120 (2x)\r\n- Battery indicator 3S lipo - Capacitance Indicator Module Tester Display 12.6V (2x)\r\n- 3S lipo battery 6000 mah or smaller (case height is for 3S batteries) (2x)\r\n- Velcro for fixing the batteries (4x)\r\n- Screws to screw parts on the longboard.\r\n\r\nIf you make something, I appreciate it if you post a picture of it.
