Electric Football
cults3d
This design features an electric ducted fan powered football that requires careful assembly and operation. In addition to printed parts, the following components are necessary: -a 70mm fan (left-handed version) -an EDF motor no larger than 28mm OD -a shaft adapter to fit the fan onto the motor -a 40-80 amp speed controller -lipo batteries, such as two 1000mAh 3S cells wired in series and positioned on opposite sides for balance A PWM control signal is also required, ideally from a microcontroller/accelerometer combo for detecting throws and catches. To secure components inside the shell, use methods like bubble wrap and tape to prevent damage during handling. The total weight of this device should be 25 oz or less. WARNING: This project involves high-speed spinning components and can be hazardous. Build and operate at your own risk. Safety glasses and protective gear are essential. Crash survivability has not been tested, and catches should only be made with a fishing net on a 10-foot pole to minimize risks.
