Electric Circuit Elements
thingiverse
With advancements in technology, printing plastic and metal together is now possible and affordable. This has led to the creation of 3D circuits in any shape, including metal components such as inductors, resistors, and capacitors. Chips, LEDs, and even polymer semiconductors can be incorporated into these circuits. In the future, applications could include remote control airplanes with integrated electronics or processors in cubes. The possibility of integrating circuits into various tools, weapons, instruments, and even ships is now within reach. As a test circuit, an inductively powered LED can be created using an RLC resonant tank circuit and an LED. This circuit incorporates a pair of inductor coils interwound to create capacitance and inductance, with inherent resistance due to metal conductivity. Lighting the LED with an external magnetic field at or near the resonant frequency is possible with this design.
