Replacement backrest for my electric violin is desperately needed. This instrument, an affordable model manufactured in China, arrived with a curved backrest that poked me harshly in the chest (highlighted in blue) rather than lying flat like its acoustic counterpart. The new piece is much more comfortable to use and rests securely against the body when not in play. Several other electric violins utilize similar backrests, making this replacement suitable for them as well. Incidentally, the extra holes are intended for added support with bolts or screws, but it appears sturdy enough on its own.
