Electric Box Spacer

When replacing a light switch or wall socket, sometimes the distance between the fixture and wall enclosure doesn't match due to remodeling or incorrect installation. The provided STL files generate four-piece sets and single spacers for such applications. To use the spacers, place them on the top and bottom #8-32 screws of the fixture. For additional spacing, stack the spacers. The hole ensures a tight fit, while the opening allows easy addition or removal. Although these spacers are affordable and available at most hardware stores with decent electrical sections, you might need them urgently on Sunday nights. To demonstrate proper placement, click the upper left photo for a full-size picture of the spacer on a light switch inside a wall box. For printing, use RAFT setting in SkeinForge without an interface layer, just the base layer. Leaving the printed item on the raft can help store and organize it in your toolbox. Additionally, you can change the height of the spacer in the STL files and use different colors of ABS filament to code the spacer height for better organization.
