I was captivated by an image of this model in an antique machinist magazine, so I attempted to recreate it using my mill/lathe combination. The device operates efficiently when powered by compressed air; changing the pressure at the base ports controls its rotational direction. In Proe, one can simulate the action by dragging the flywheel. This ingenious 6-cylinder engine functions with just five moving parts.
