Elargissement and reinforcement of the main structure XZ of the Dagoma Discovery 200, in addition to Liar/DAL parts: "Dagoma Structure Reinforcement by Triangulation" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1200492 Using six rods with a diameter of 8 mm, 380 mm long (+0.1/-0 mm) adjustable length, replacing the original 270 mm rods which are reused to reinforce the structure. During this design process, I was able to better understand and confirm the origin of many adjustment problems reported on the DiscoEasy: the original 270 mm rods were designed for lengths available from 273 mm. This resulted in poor horizontal alignment of the X carriage, Z wobble, and Y carriage friction (see the last two explanatory images). The entire design proposed here is perfectly adjusted to 380 mm without play for 380 mm rods and improves the rigidity of the entire machine. Observed gain: reduced oscillation of threaded rods, less wobble, preserved horizontal alignment, perpendicular and unstrained Y carriage. High precision and reproducibility of printing. AND A 280 MM RUN IN X WITH THIS HEAD https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2478810 2018-03-26: A new version "Base_support_XZ_DiscoEasy_sans_pastilles.stl" has been added. The main axes have their center at 9 mm height from the ground (instead of 10 mm in the previous version) to be fully compatible with the front and rear faces of the DiscoEasy, provided that you remove the adhesive anti-vibration pads (...) For a "Base_support_XZ" set, left or right (you will therefore need to multiply the following quantities by two): - 11 M3 screws - 4 M3-lg6 (motor) - 4 M3-lg10 (tightening of the two X380 bars) - 4 M3-lg12 (tightening of the Z bars) - 3 M3-lg20 (tightening of the Y bars)
