Extruder direct drive MK7 and MK8 gears. They make a big difference with 1.75mm and 3.00mm filaments, especially for strong and easy-to-print pieces. This new version comes with better handling and improved printing results. Here are the instructions: To assemble this direct drive extruder, you'll need: Three 3mm-diameter screws that are 10mm high. One 3mm-diameter screw that is 30mm high for mounting the motor and arm. One 4mm-diameter screw that is 15mm high for the bearing. One 4mm-diameter screw around 40mm long for attaching the arm to the coil. One 22mm-diameter bearing with a hole that's 8mm in diameter and 7mm tall. One coil with a diameter of about 6mm, a hole of about 5mm, and a height of around 10mm. Either an MK7 or an MK8 drive gear will work just fine. Lots of nuts and washers are needed to secure everything in place. Some important things to keep in mind: Make sure the motor is properly cooled using a fan, especially when printing with 3mm filament. You'll need a strong motor to print with 1.75mm filament; weak motors won't cut it. When attaching the arm and body, use one washer between them. For the bearing axis, keep in mind that the total height of any washers, nuts, and screws cannot exceed 7mm (the maximum height of the bearing).
