Einstein Tile in SCAD
thingiverse
This is (another) *Einstein Tile* design. The design is based on OpenSCAD. The reason to prefer an openscad model for a single tile is that, for openscad users, it will be possible to augment the tile -- possibly putting holes in the tile, rounding edges, adding a vertical brim, etc. The difference between this contribution and others is that I used a Python program to calculate, using trig functions and line intersections, deriving the (x,y) coordinates of the "hat" shape. Hopefully this will be more accurate, scalable, and modular than tracing using inkscape. Thus resizing to a larger size should work flawlessly. ## References ## * the original paper on Arxiv: https://arxiv.org/abs/2303.10798 * previous design also using openscad: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5923051 * prior contribution to thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5923307
