This is a free-scanned, pre-op Jack-o-lantern. It was scanned with the Einscan-S using my large tripod and mount without turning the turntable. The .stl file comes straight from the Einscan software with no edits or touchups. The print is scaled way down, but the file is the actual size of the sacrificial vegetable - not too shabby, if I do say so myself! We'll likely discuss this soon-to-be-butchered gourd on the 3D Printing Today Podcast, although it won't be on our feed till long after Halloween. Next week, I'll update this with a post-op scan. You can find more information at threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com. I've also added a scaled and positioned version of the file, but note that the bottom is bumpy - so you may want to offset Z in the negative. Printer Settings: - Printer Brand: MakerBot - Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 - Rafts: No - Supports: No - Resolution: .2mm layer height - Infill: 5% - Notes: I recommend setting your Z offset into the negative by a mm or so to get a good surface area on the bottom, which should stick to the bed easily.
