Here's a simple frame to mount a Raspberry-Pi (B,B+,2) outside of an Anet A8 printer stand. Version 1 is designed with hex socket pockets that accept a SW5 threaded insert, commonly used to secure motherboards in PC cases (see photo). Simply cut off the outer threads and insert the socket into the frame. The resulting protrusion is just 2mm, leaving enough space underneath for the Raspberry. Version 2 features 2mm pads on the front for attaching the Raspberry and 5.5mm hex holes at the back to accommodate M3 screws. This eliminates the need for threaded inserts altogether.
