I fabricated this spool holder using PLA, with a print speed of approximately 70 mm/s and an infill percentage of 20%. The layer height was set to 0.2 millimeters. This design cleverly utilizes the existing holes and nuts that secure the frame's back triangles, resulting in a very stable and secure spool holder. To achieve this stability, four M3x25mm screws are required. It is highly recommended to use M3 washers for added support, although they are not strictly necessary. The previous M3x16 screws now serve as the method of attaching the Eiffel Tower component to the base unit, which is designed specifically for a 5/16" rod. I opted to divide the spool holder into two parts because it allows for simultaneous printing on an 8-inch bed, and also permits the use of different colors for the base and tower components. Furthermore, this design enables me to create additional buildings that can share the same base component in the future.
