Eiffel Tower (Scaled 3x) printed on Ultimaker
thingiverse
Hitesh has made a larger version of Thingiverse's 22051 design and divided it into two STL files for Ultimaker printing. Some users requested separate STL files to experiment with, so Hitesh obliged. The original file was designed by Pranav Panchal, available on GrabCAD (grabcad.com/library/eiffel-tower). Recently, a non-split version, named EiffelTowerTALL.stl, was also uploaded for those who prefer an uncut print. To print, download the STL files (eiffel1.stl, eiffel2.stl), slice them using Cura (https://github.com/daid/Cura/wiki), and then spend approximately 20 hours on printing. Afterward, glue eiffel2.stl onto the top of eiffel1.stl. Note that some vertical railing parts might not be printed correctly in Cura; adjusting settings or using a different slicer could potentially resolve this issue. Hitesh used Cura for slicing and found that the vertical railings didn't print properly, but it was only an issue of 4-5 layers, which he removed later. The user believes that by tweaking Cura settings or choosing another slicer with a suitable nozzle size, one could successfully print the vertical railings. Please let me know if you need any further assistance!
