This is a highly refined Eiffel Tower designed for SLA printing in two halves. I took Pranav Panchal's incredible original (Eiffel Tower) and upgraded it with several key features:- Enhanced railings that resist warping or tearing during washing- Strategically placed internal drainage holes on some flat braces to minimize resin buckling and clumping- Carefully added fillets on certain overhangs to prevent failures- Delicate names on the frieze showcasing your printer's exceptional detail capabilities- A decorative facade on the arched beams under the tower, which may vary depending on your mileageAnd the best part is:- Dual printing of both halves simultaneously!You can find more detailed information and photos illustrating these modifications at:https://forum.formlabs.com/t/improved-eiffel-tower/6059/HISTORY:I originally worked on this project four years ago (2015) by uploading my "remix" to a new subfolder in Pranav's project, "SLA Optimized (Form 1+)". It sparked a lot of interest.I recently made some adjustments (2019):- Reduced the surface area of the mating surface for a cleaner fit- Introduced an optional version that hollows out the lower two platforms, reducing resin use by approximately 15%- Altered the orientation of STL exports to match Formlabs Preform softwareSince I can no longer add content directly to Pranav's folders, I created this GrabCAD project to share my latest iteration of the remix. The bulk of the credit goes to the original designer, who undoubtedly spent countless hours crafting the beautifully detailed model.
