Wall raiser for EIBOS Cyclopes filament dryer to keep filament spools from overheating.Eibox Cyclopes is great filament dryer with fatal flaw - hot air is blown directly to filament spools from very short distance. Despite temperature control, more temperature sensitive filaments like PLA will soften and deform even when dryer is set to recommended 50 °C.There are basically two solutions:block/disperse direct flow of hot airmove spools higher from hot air exhaustI think blocking hot air flow could be unreasonably dangerous, so option 1) should be avoided. There are several great spool/wall raisers on Printables already, see linked models. Not only you can use this technique to prevent filament damage, you can create filament passthrough in raiser wall, so you don't need take off the lid to eject filament.None of the existing ones is printable on Prusa MINI. So I created my own variant based on this idea. Spool holder axel is at the same height as referenced models, but walls are shorter, so there is no unnecessary dead space above the spools and less material is needed to print.I used 6mm PTFE quick connect for passthrough, 8mm rod and 688 bearings I had lying around and created custom rollers.Original (quite messy) Fusion360 project and uncut model is attached, so you can play with it/use it yourself as base for your own variant. Each roller has three parts - two spool sides with bearings pressed in are inserted to “spool rod”, which is designed to be printed by 0.4 mm nozzle in vase mode. “SpoolSides” provide rigidity, vase printed “rod” provides flawless surface with no seam. You need to file away any seam from “SpoolSides” before assembling the spools, any imperfection will affect rollers performance.
