I've discovered that heavier debris doesn't get collected by my Eheim filter when the intake is mid-way in my 2-ft high tank. A replacement strainer extends its reach via standard garden auto-sprinkler system tubing, protecting nearby swimming fishes with a cage. The suction is divided between the vents in the strainer and cage-end, ensuring no compromise with filtration coverage. While making this replacement strainer, I also created a standard version for anyone who needs it. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: Print at 100% infill, no support, as slow as your printer can go, to achieve a clean print. Make sure you file down all burrs and rinse this thoroughly before using it in your tank to avoid loose bits clogging your filter or fish ingesting it.
