Eggholder 5-point

This 5-point eggholder has a unique twist, combining elements from its 4-point counterpart with a more compact construction that utilizes less material. Despite having five sturdy legs, it takes up less space on the work surface. My desktop CNC machine from Stepcraft crafted this design using 6 mm birch plywood and a precision spiral-toothed bit with a 1 mm flute. A laser cutter would be an excellent alternative tool for projects like this. For more innovative designs, check out https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/. Designing This Project I employed Solid Edge's 2D drafting capabilities, which offer a powerful parametric CAD system free for personal use. If you grasp the fundamentals of parametric design, it becomes surprisingly straightforward to work with. As evident from the design, basic shapes serve as its foundation. The size was carefully chosen to accommodate a standard-sized egg.
