This holder features a glue-free design when tightly fitted, perfect for use with plywood, acrylic glass or aluminum materials. This specific version was built using 1/4" / 6 mm materials, but the parametric CAD-files allow users to adapt the design for different thicknesses. I built my holder on a desktop CNC-machine by Stepcraft from 6 mm birch plywood using a spiral-toothed 1 mm flute tool, and a laser cutter could be an effective alternative option. With a solid understanding of parametric design principles, it's surprisingly straightforward to work with. As evident from the design itself, basic shapes form the foundation of this creation. The size was naturally determined by that of a standard-sized egg.
