Egg Painter

Egg Painter

I took the basic design of mdietz's Egg Painter and gave it a major overhaul to make it perfect for my little ones. But, I quickly realized that using loose rods and searching for matching springs would be a huge headache, so I decided to make some tweaks to get the project off the ground. To start fresh, I broke the design down into two separate files - one for the body of the egg painter and another for the spring component. This way, it was easier to manipulate each part independently. Next, I narrowed down the inner hole size in the rods, which made room for smaller screws that fit snugly inside. To ensure a secure hold on the eggs, I redesigned the end piece so that it no longer relied on the same rod-spring combination as before. Now, the egg holder and spring are completely separate entities, which provides more flexibility in case you need to replace or modify either part. Last but not least, I beefed up the diameter of the rods to get a tighter grip on the egg holders - it's now harder for the eggs to fall out, even when you're little hands are moving fast.
