Egg Holder for Smaller Fridges, too
thingiverse
This is a remix of [dede67's very fine customizable egg holder](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3280926). Unfortunately our fridge's egg compartment doesn't provide the depth that would be necessary without the ability to shrink the space between the two eggs, so this remix adds that. I also added some commentary to the OpenSCAD file, which might help folks looking to make other changes to it. The original features are all still there: - can hold at least 10 eggs (just print 5) - fits into a refrigerator door compartment (but now that compartment can be even smaller) - keep the eggs stable and safe when removing the entire holder from the refrigerator and - can be produced with a standard heatbed (I printed mine in batches of 3 on an Ender2, which has a 150x150mm bed) The original Thing had a comment on it suggesting to put some tolerances onto the dovetails. My experience with them has been that, even on a not-perfectly-calibrated printer, they work fine. My version's parameters are pre-set to a much lower height than dede67's and will fit many of the 1- or 2-person fridges commonly present in German households. As a side effect, the eggs can be taken out by just grabbing and lifting them; no need to push from underneath. But, the warning given by dede67 still applies: _for a secure stand, at least two holders should be connected to each other._ The Cura .3mf file already has 3 holders placed together with the dovetails connected. Make two of these and you'll have enough space to hold the contents of a standard 12-pack. ---
