Egg for Eggs is an egg-shaped container designed specifically for small Easter Eggs that measure up to 32mm in diameter. The unique feature of this container lies in its ability to open and close by simply rotating the outer shell, allowing users to store more than twenty-five eggs at a time. The design consists of a single piece featuring an outer shell with a hole and an inner shell also equipped with a hole. These two shells can be rotated independently, making it easy to open or close the container. The rotation between parts requires precise cutting and well-calibrated machinery to achieve optimal results. To ensure smooth operation, additional clearance has been incorporated into the design file, allowing for flexibility in printing conditions. However, if you're planning to print multiple colors, be aware that filament deposits may make it slightly harder to free up post-printing. To resolve this issue, scaling the file up by 5-10% can provide a sufficient safety margin and increase storage capacity. At standard scale, the print measures 122mm tall and 92.5mm in diameter, with a small support ring at the base that easily snaps away after printing. Scaling down more than 10% may cause the inner and outer shells to fuse together, rendering the container unusable. Despite being an easy print, it will require approximately 100gms of filament and some time to complete. Nevertheless, the end result is well worth the effort.
