Egg for Eggs is an egg-shaped container designed specifically for small Easter eggs measuring up to 32mm in diameter. This unique container can be opened and closed by rotating the outer shell. The capacity of this container varies according to the size of the eggs, but it can typically hold more than twenty-five. The design features a one-piece-print consisting of an outer shell with a hole and an inner shell that also has a hole. Both shells can be rotated independently to open or close the container. This distinctive feature makes Egg for Eggs a practical and very cool storage option. To achieve smooth rotation between parts, precise slicing files and well-set-up machines are necessary. However, the design file has been optimized with additional clearance to ensure great results even for inexperienced users. Get creative and give your Egg for Eggs a multi-colored look by pausing your machine during printing and swapping filament to make truly unique containers. If you're printing in multiple colors, keep in mind that the inner and outer shells may be slightly harder to separate post-printing due to filament deposits left internally. To ensure easy separation of the shells, scaling up the file uniformly by 5-10% is recommended. This will not only add a sufficient safety margin but also increase the internal capacity, allowing you to store even more Easter eggs! At standard scale, the print measures 122mm tall and 92.5mm in diameter. There's a small designed-in support ring at the base that should snap away quickly and easily after printing. Scaling up is no problem, but scaling down by more than 10% may result in the inner and outer shells fusing together, preventing the container from opening or closing. This print is relatively easy to execute, requiring only about 100gms of filament, although it will take some time to complete. However, the end result is well worth the wait!
